PingID by Ping Identity company is an enterprise-grade mobile identity solution that gives employees, contractors, and partners the ability to access company resources from their mobile devices securely. The PingID app has been updated to version 1.1.0. This update includes several bug fixes and performance improvements. The most notable change is the addition of support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) with PingID. You can now use PingID to authenticate with applications that support MFA. To use this feature, add your PingID account to the application that you want to use it with. When prompted, enter your PingID username and password, and then select the method of MFA that you wish to use.
PingID app has been updated to support the new Google Play Protect feature. When you update the app, a popup will ask you if you want to opt-in to the new Google Play Protect service. Once you do, the next time you launch the app, you will see a blue ‘OK Google' dot in the upper left corner of the screen.
If you don't see the dot, you set your device to opt out of the feature. So you have to manually opt-in to the part by navigating to your device's Settings app, then selecting Security. From here, you will see an option called “Show Google Protection Agent." If you choose “Yes," you will see the blue ‘OK Google' icon when you launch the app next.
This app is an ID scanner that can be used to uniquely identify your devices and identify which ones have been damaged or compromised. The app is also able to detect if your device has been rooted or if it has been jailbroken.
